This role will be based within the Connections Reform Programme team, focused on designing and implementing a reformed Connections process to achieve quicker connections for viable and Net Zero aligned projects, as well as a more coordinated and efficient network design that benefits customers and consumers.

About the Role: They are looking to welcome an experienced PMO Lead to join our team supporting this high-visibility, complex programme. The programme team is made up of colleagues across various organisations, including regulatory bodies and network companies (both Transmission and Distribution), and this role will support the delivery of joint governance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as 'tech sec' for joint governance forums, including invites, minutes, management of terms of reference, and agenda and content preparation (including pre-reads and briefings).
  • Manage and deliver governance for a complex project where several organisations are accountable to deliver.
  • Facilitate joint change control process, ensuring impact assessments performed by all organisations and updates to plan are managed.
  • Own and facilitate updates to key project documents including joint RAID, joint industry plan, and joint action tracker.
  • Work with the internal risk and governance manager to ensure alignment across the internal and joint RAID.
  • Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders at all levels, ensuring requirements are met (including senior stakeholders).
  • Work collaboratively with the Programme team to ensure consistent ways of working and understanding of the current state.
  • Experience of project dashboard reporting, including Exec summary level updates.
  • Ability to understand complex topics and translate them into simple, key messages.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Proven experience in managing and delivering governance for complex projects.
  • Strong time management and delivery skills.
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
  • Experience in project dashboard reporting and executive summary level updates.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience in facilitating joint change control processes and managing updates to plans.
