Job Title: Construction Procurement Manager
Location: Hybrid role - (ability to travel into Warwick/Castle Donnington/Strand when required)Contract Type: 6 months (Possible Extension)
Are you ready to take on an exciting challenge in the energy sector? Our client is looking for a dynamic and strategic Construction Procurement Manager to join their enthusiastic Procurement team! This newly created role is pivotal for shaping the future of construction procurement as the organisation gears up for significant growth and transformation.
What You'll Do:
As the Construction Procurement Manager, you will play a key role in developing innovative procurement strategies that align with our client's mission to lead the energy transition. Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading the development and implementation of construction procurement and supply chain strategies for the upcoming regulatory period.
- Collaborating with category leads to co-define sourcing strategies and execute strategic sourcing activities.
- Designing delivery models for various programs/projects, including commercial constructs and go-to-market approaches.
- Engaging with stakeholders and suppliers to ensure alignment between business needs and supply market conditions.
- Assessing and mitigating supply chain risks while providing valuable insights to the procurement team and business units.
- Influencing a motivated team to deliver outstanding value and achieve strategic objectives.
What We're Looking For
- Extensive experience in construction procurement within infrastructure, utilities, or energy sectors.
- Proven track record in leading transformational procurement strategies and managing large project portfolios.
- Strong commercial acumen, analytical thinking, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Experience in building high-performing teams and driving organisational change.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills at all levels.
- Degree in a construction-related discipline (or equivalent experience)
- MCIPS, MBA, Project Management accreditation
