Role:
As a Young Person Mentor, you'll play a vital role in the lives of children and young people aged between 8-18. Your role will involve:
- Creating a nurturing, loving, and safe environment where young people feel valued.
Building strong, professional relationships that encourage growth and development.
Supporting children with complex needs such as learning disabilities, autism, and mental health challenges.
Being part of fun, engaging daily routines, think football chats, TikTok trends, Xbox tournaments, spontaneous dance parties, or even a makeover session!
Preparing meals, helping with homework, and managing the day-to-day running of the home.
Writing reports and recording key observations using our electronic systems to ensure the best possible outcomes.
About You:
A full UK driving licence is essential due to the location of the home.
Previous experience in working with children and young people.
You're committed to completing your NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare within 2 years.
You're emotionally intelligent, naturally empathetic, and know how to balance fun with professional boundaries.- You understand that some days will be challenging, but you're resilient, patient, and always focused on doing what's right for the young person.
