Warehouse Support Manager

Due to a sustained period of growth our client is urgently looking for a Warehouse Support Manager to join their team.

This is a diverse role that includes warehouse management, procurement, logistics, health and safety and compliance responsibilities.

Key duties include:

  • Working with the Warehouse Manager to ensure that all materials, plant, equipment and aggregates are on site ready to start works.
  • Liaising with the Storeman to administer stock levels and resolve any stock issues.
  • Liaising with the Planning Supervisor to ensure that all plant and aggregates are ordered and on schedule for start of each contract.
  • Supporting the Stock Controller to ensure that the drivers have a daily plan of deliveries and collections.
  • Carrying out health and safety audits to ensure compliance to company standards.
  • Monitoring and distributing PPE for direct labour and re-order.
  • Undertaking monthly inspections of vans and cars.
  • Maintaining plant/tool hire schedule.
  • Managing the maintenance, cleaning and repair of the warehouse and associated areas such as alarms and CCTV.
  • Support the Warehouse and Construction Managers with process implementation and improvements.

This is a varied role and you should have excellent organisation, communication and administration skills within a warehouse/inventory environment.
