Job role: Maintenance Engineer
Salary: £46,000-£50,000 per annum
Location: Kettering, Northamptonshire
Hours: Double Days, Monday - Friday 06.00-14.00 / 14.00-22.00 Weekly Rotations
Job Type: Full Time, Permanent

The Package:
· Overtime available - time ½
· 25 days holiday + bank holidays
· Pension subject to auto-enrolment - Employee contribution 5% (minimum) and Employer contributes 3%

The Role:
· Minimise production downtime, by carrying out routine scheduled maintenance (PPMs) and respond to unplanned breakdowns with the stipulated timeframes.
· Ensure that production operations maximise output and minimise downtime safely through regular planned maintenance.
· Respond to unplanned breakdowns in a timely and effective manner, working alongside engineering and production colleagues to minimise disruption
- To be on call 1 week in 4 (Paid £250 extra per week / £3250 per year & Any callout is paid at 1.5x your hourly rate)
· Optimise the performance and lifecycle of operational equipment with regular preventative maintenance, working with the Production team, to identify and understand causes of equipment wear and underperformance.
· Diagnose and repair equipment breakdowns
· Carry out all work according to Safe Systems of Work, Risk Assessments, SOPs, Dynamic Risk Assessments and company policies and procedures.

The Requirements:
· In depth understanding of fault finding/diagnostics on manufacturing machinery
· Electrical & Mechanical Competencies
· Relevant Electrical/Mechanical Qualifications (City & Guilds/NVQs) - Advantageous
· Experience of working in a fast paced production environment for a minimum of 2 years - Essential
- Previous experience working as a maintenance engineer, mechanical engineer or electrical engineer
