- Responding to field sales requests by researching and quoting for products outside of the current offering. Upon receipt of a customer PO, continue to setup the item to ensure smooth onward transactions (Sales order, Purchase order)
- Liaising with product management to respond to field sales queries
- Negotiating with local purchase suppliers to agree prices and quantities always showing commercial awareness
- Responding to local supplier ad-hoc price changes
- Ensuring pricing is maintained in line with sales margins requirements
- Discontinuing and superseding products as required
- Clean-up / discontinue product not sold
- Report on any discontinued stock holding
- Onboarding new suppliers – gathering the correct information and completing internal forms
- Extract data from ERP systems
- Excellent communication skills to help negotiations and ensure that expectations are clear.
- Relationship building and networking skills.
- Financial and accounting knowledge for calculating margins, gross profit and discounts.
- Excellent computer skills and knowledge of spreadsheets, presentation software and other stock management software and systems.
