Job Title: BuyerSalary: CompetitiveLocation: Kettering Contract: PermanentMonday to Friday 08.30-16.30 (37.5 hours per week)As a sourcing specialist you will work closely with Sales and Supply Chain, you will utilise their knowledge and experience to ensure that the product range supports the company’s overall strategy and goals. By gathering and prioritising product and customer/sales requirements, you will source and price suitable products, plan and communicate changes in product lines and identify gaps in the market that can be filled. You will also research, together with Sales, what customers will need and negotiate with suppliers to purchase the products to fill gaps, so they can offer the customer base a complete assortment for their needs. Some responsibilities include:  
  • Responding to field sales requests by researching and quoting for products outside of the current offering. Upon receipt of a customer PO, continue to setup the item to ensure smooth onward transactions (Sales order, Purchase order)
  • Liaising with product management to respond to field sales queries
  • Negotiating with local purchase suppliers to agree prices and quantities always showing commercial awareness
  • Responding to local supplier ad-hoc price changes
  • Ensuring pricing is maintained in line with sales margins requirements
  • Discontinuing and superseding products as required
  • Clean-up / discontinue product not sold
  • Report on any discontinued stock holding
  • Onboarding new suppliers – gathering the correct information and completing internal forms
About You!  
  • Extract data from ERP systems
  • Excellent communication skills to help negotiations and ensure that expectations are clear.
  • Relationship building and networking skills.
  • Financial and accounting knowledge for calculating margins, gross profit and discounts.
  • Excellent computer skills and knowledge of spreadsheets, presentation software and other stock management software and systems.
  • Excellent attention to detail and high standards for quality control.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, high-demand environment.

  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with customers at all times
