Finance Assistant - Credit Control FocusDesborough | £24,000 - £26,000 | Permanent | Hybrid (Up to 3 Days WFH)

Macildowie are working with this client based in Desborough on a newly created opportunity for a Accounts Receivable Assistant with a strong interest or background in Accounts Receivable and Credit Control.

This permanent position is ideal for individuals looking to further their finance career with international exposure, regular 1:1 development sessions, and the chance to play a vital role in maintaining and improving aged debt performance.

The Role:

As a Accounts Receivable Assistant, your focus will be on accounts receivable and aged debt management across a global customer base - particularly customers in New Zealand, Australia, and Ireland. You'll build relationships over email, allocate incoming payments accurately, and keep aged debt within target through proactive communication and credit review.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Chase aged debt primarily via email across a global customer base
  • Take payments from customers and accurately allocate them against outstanding invoices
  • Liaise with customers in New Zealand, Australia, Ireland and other regions to resolve overdue payment queries
  • Monitor and review customer credit limits, escalating risks where needed
  • Provide regular aged debt reports to the Transactional Finance Team Leader
  • Support the wider finance team with month-end processes and reporting as required
  • Provide cover for other transactional duties where needed
