Schools in Kettering are seeking enthusiastic Unqualified English Teachers to join their teams starting September 2025. These full-time opportunities offer valuable classroom experience, enabling you to develop your teaching skills while earning and progressing towards a career in education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Planning and delivering engaging English lessons for Key Stage 3 and 4 students

  • Supporting students' understanding of literature, language, and creative writing

  • Assisting with lesson planning, differentiation, and assessment tasks

  • Fostering a positive and interactive classroom atmosphere

  • Implementing behaviour management strategies aligned with school policies

  • Providing constructive feedback through marking and informal assessments

  • Participating in ongoing professional development, safeguarding training, and school initiatives

Who We're Looking For:

  • A degree in English Literature, English Language, Creative Writing, or a closely related subject

  • A genuine enthusiasm for education and supporting young people's development

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to engage a classroom confidently

  • Experience in tutoring, classroom assistance, or unqualified teaching is desirable but not essential

  • A commitment to progressing towards teacher training qualifications (PGCE, SCITT, QTS Apprenticeships)

  • An Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service or willingness to apply
