- To carry out all required welding work for the production of components to the highest standard
- To acquire the knowledge and qualifications for welding the complete size / range of instruments ensuring the necessary quality standards are achieved.
- To assist in other production related tasks, when required by the line team leader or Production Manager as appropriate within the line or wider production department.
- To work in accordance with Health & Safety procedures as set out by the company, especially regarding Manual handling and PPE.
- To maintain all welding equipment / hand tools in good working condition and keep the welding bays tidy / organised in line with company housekeeping standards.
- Good general health
- General interest in engineering, welding, and factory production operations
- Proven experience of MIG welding within a production / manufacturing company
- A forklift licence is desirable, but training can be provided for the right applicant
- A competitive base salary of £12.81 per hour, plus a £40 a week attendance bonus, plus regular overtime at time and a half
- Hours - Monday to Friday 0800-1630.
- 25 days holiday plus bank holidays.
