ABC Teachers is seeking an experienced Behaviour Support Assistant to work in an SEN School in Kidderminster on a full-time basis.

About the Role:

  • As a Behaviour Support Assistant, you will provide personalised assistance and behavioural support to students, helping them re-engage with learning in a positive and structured environment.
  • Support will be given in small class settings of 8 on a 1:1 basis, ranging from 5-19 years of age, enabling you to have a greater individual impact.
  • Work closely with class teachers to support academic progress and provide pastoral care and guidance, helping to foster emotional resilience and improved behaviour.
  • This is a full-time role, with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.

About you:

To be considered for the Behaviour Support Assistant position, you will have:

  • Previous experience working with children in a school or educational setting, especially with those who have special needs, is desirable.
    • Experience through volunteer work in schools, camps, or tutoring can be considered.
    • Suitable qualifications such as Youth Work, Health and Social Care or Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools are desired but not essential.
    • Able to obtain suitable references and a DBS check.
