Are you an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant looking for a new challenge? We're working with a specialist provision in Kidderminster that supports pupils with complex needs, including autism, SEMH, and challenging behaviour. This is a highly rewarding role for someone who is resilient, empathetic, and confident in supporting young people who require extra care and understanding.
About the School & Role:
This supportive and inclusive setting provides tailored education to children who may have struggled in mainstream schools. Many of the pupils have social, emotional, and mental health needs, and some exhibit behaviours such as verbal outbursts or swearing.
The successful TA will:
Provide 1:1 and small group support
Assist with behaviour regulation and emotional wellbeing
Work closely with teachers and other staff to deliver personalised learning plans
Create a consistent, calm, and encouraging environment
Key Requirements:
Background working with SEN, ideally with SEMH, autism, or behavioural needs
Confidence managing challenging behaviour and promoting positive outcomes
Calm, patient, and consistent under pressure
Previous school or alternative provision experience preferred
Team Teach or de-escalation training is a plus
