Job Overview:We're looking for an experienced HR Administrator to join a People Operations Excellence Team within a global publishing and professional services business. This role supports the full employee lifecycle and contributes to a seamless, efficient, and people-focused experience for all staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the first point of contact for employee lifecycle queries
  • Deliver timely, accurate, and professional HR support
  • Process changes, parental leave, absences, flexible working, and other related admin
  • Maintain HRIS records and employee files
  • Generate contracts and various HR-related letters
  • Support payroll preparation and reporting
  • Perform background checks, right-to-work checks, and reference verifications
  • Maintain and manage internal trackers
  • Collaborate with HR Business Partners and Centres of Excellence
  • Provide excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders
  • Ensure compliance with employment legislation and internal policies
  • Participate in ongoing process improvements and digitization efforts

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a similar HR administration role, preferably in a large or shared services environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and time management
  • Experience of payroll processes is essential
  • Working knowledge of employment legislation
  • Experience using HRIS platforms (e.g., SAP HR or Salesforce beneficial)
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel and Word
  • Able to handle sensitive information confidentially and professionally
  • Positive, problem-solving mindset and proactive approach
  • Flexibility to support wider team as needed
