Health & Safety Advisor

Location - Southern England - you will be assigned sites based upon your geographical location. Head Office is based in Oxfordshire, but you will only be required there a few times a month.

We are currently offering the opportunity for a hard-working and engaging individual to join a growing waste management company. This is a great opportunity for an individual with prior HSEQ experience - especially within the waste management sector.

Applicants must have current UK work eligibility.

The Role

You will be responsible for:

  • Conducting regular visits and audits of the workplace to identify ways to control / eliminate risks and accidents,
  • Providing HSEQ support to all areas of the business,
  • Carrying out regular reviews of health & safety literature and guidance.

Current / Recent Experience Required

The ideal candidate will have the following:

  • At least 3 years of experience within a HSEQ / health & safety role (essential).
  • Experienced in auditing ISO standards - including ISO 45001 / 14001 / 9001 / 5001 (essential).
  • Holding or currently studying for a NEBOSH qualification (essential).
  • Knowledge of current UK health & safety legislation (essential).
  • Prior experience working within the waste management industry (desired).

Profile Required:

  • Existing UK work eligibility (essential).
  • A valid driving licence (essential).
  • Happy to travel to various sites around the UK (essential).
