An established manufacturing site in Kidlington is looking to appoint an experienced Injection Moulding Setter to strengthen its production team. This is a hands-on role suited to someone confident setting machines, optimising processes, and supporting safe, high-quality production in a shift-based environment.
The RoleYou will be responsible for setting, running, and supporting injection moulding machines to ensure consistent output, high standards of quality, and maximum uptime.
Key responsibilities include:

Preparing for production changeovers by ensuring tools, materials, and equipment are ready in advance

Carrying out safe machine shutdowns in line with approved safe systems of work

Removing, transporting, and storing mould tools correctly and safely
-
Installing and setting tools for new production runs, completing all checks thoroughly

Clearing down materials from previous jobs and ensuring correct materials are available for the next run

Setting machines to defined process standards and achieving acceptable first-off quality

Monitoring and optimising processes to meet or exceed target cycle times and cavitation

Maintaining clean, safe, and organised production areas

Responding promptly to machine, quality, or safety issues to minimise downtime

Recording accurate production and performance data

Completing all required documentation clearly and on time

Carrying out weekly injection moulding machine fitness-for-use checks

Supporting continuous improvement activities including SMED, TPM, processing efficiency, material handling, and automation

Leading by example on shift, promoting strong safety standards and teamwork
Essential:

Proven experience working as an Injection Moulding Setter

Formal injection moulding setting qualifications
-
Formal injection moulding processing qualifications
-
Experience with cranes, lifting and slinging, and powered pallet trucks
-
Strong understanding of health, safety, and quality standards
Desirable:

IMT qualification

Confident communicator at shop floor and management level

Calm, structured approach under pressure

The interview process includes an on-site practical assessment followed by an interview with a Shift Manager.
