An experienced Senior Legal Counsel is sought to lead legal strategy and ensure compliance across all operations, with a strong focus on real estate and residential development. This is a pivotal role supporting the organisation's ambitious growth and sustainability goals.

Description

  • Develop and implement legal strategies aligned with business and regulatory needs.
  • Provide legal guidance on land acquisitions, development, joint ventures, and forward sale deals.
  • Review, negotiate, and manage contracts and legal documents.
  • Advise internal teams including HR, Commercial, and Planning.
  • Monitor legal and regulatory changes and ensure compliance.
  • Identify and mitigate legal risks across the business.
  • Manage legal disputes and external counsel relationships.
  • Support corporate governance and liaise with the Company Secretary.
  • Integrate legal strategies with the organisation's environmental sustainability goals.
  • Maintain quality standards in legal operations.

Profile

  • Qualified solicitor with 5+ years' PQE, specialising in real estate and residential development.
  • Strong knowledge of property law and construction-related legal matters.
  • Proven experience in complex real estate transactions and negotiations.
  • In-house experience and corporate governance knowledge are desirable.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Passion for sustainability and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
