Design Engineer

Job Title: Design EngineerLocation: OxfordSalary: £42,000-£45,000Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Planet Recruitment are proud to be working with a leading manufacturer in the their sector, seeking a Design Engineer to join their innovative and collaborative team.

The Role:As a Design Engineer, you'll support the full product development lifecycle-from concept and prototyping through to production. You'll play a key role in the design of mechanical and electrical assemblies, support manufacturing, and contribute to product improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design complex mechanical/electrical assemblies, including moulded and GRP components

• Assist with new product development and testing

• Provide technical support to production and sales departments

• Create and manage CAD drawings and Bills of Materials (BOMs)

• Liaise with suppliers on technical matters

Ideal Candidate:

• Degree in Engineering (or equivalent) with 5+ years' design experience

• Proficient in 3D CAD (NX preferred)

• Strong understanding of mechanical systems, fabrication, and assembly processes

• Experience with fabricated and moulded components

• Knowledge of fluid or electrical systems is a plus
