A well-established mechanical contractor, known for delivering high-quality mechanical installations on new build residential, care home, and commercial projects, is looking to recruit an experienced Mechanical Project Manager.

The Role:
As a Mechanical Project Manager, you will take ownership of mechanical works from pre-construction through to project completion. Working on projects valued between £500k and £3m, you will manage all site activities, coordinate supply chain partners, and ensure delivery totime, budget, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:

Manage the full lifecycle of mechanical packages across multiple new build sites

Oversee installation, testing, commissioning, and compliance

Liaise with clients, consultants, and subcontractors to maintain strong relationships

Ensure projects meet health & safety, quality, and building regulations

Control budgets, procurement schedules, and resourcing

Produce project documentation: RAMS, progress reports, and O&M manuals

Chair regular site and technical meetings

Commercial new build schemes (e.g., office blocks, mixed-use buildings, light industrial units)
Requirements:

Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role within new build mechanical projects

Strong technical knowledge in plumbing, heating, hot & cold water, ventilation, and renewables (e.g., heat pumps, underfloor heating)

Ability to read and interpret mechanical design drawings

Excellent leadership and communication skills
-
Commercial awareness and experience under JCT and Design & Build contracts

Full UK driving licence
Qualifications:

NVQ Level 2 in Plumbing & Heating (Level 3 preferred)

SMSTS or SSSTS

CSCS (Manager or Supervisor level)

Experience working with national housebuilders or care home developers is a plus
