Role Summary:

We are looking for a Production Test Lead to join our production team. Reporting to the Production Manager, you will form part of the team creating industry-leading hardware products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and mentor the test team.
  • Diagnose faults in product assemblies to component level, reworking assemblies or working with the external manufacturer to address as appropriate.
  • Oversee the handling of faulty boards both within the company and at external manufacturers.
  • Work with the team, external manufacturers, and design engineers to improve production yield, quality, and product reliability, including using DFM and DFT practices in the introduction of new products.
  • Work with development engineers in creating test jigs and test specifications for new products.
  • Support activities and responsibilities of other Production teams if and when needed, as directed by the Production Manager.

Required Skills, Knowledge and Expertise:

  • Ability to test analogue and digital circuits to component level by following schematics and test specifications, using automated test software and equipment where available.
  • Understand the requirements and management of Production testing.
  • Suitable candidates will be educated to degree level in Electronic Engineering (or equivalent) with relevant industry experience.
  • Outgoing, confident, and self-propelled candidate that will be a great fit within our small and highly experienced team.
  • A working knowledge of camera operation would be advantageous, but not essential.
