Warehouse Operative

Their products are used in major feature films, games, and commercials, and are a crucial measurement tool for biomechanics, robotics, and cutting-edge science.

The incumbent occupying the Warehouse Operative post within the Production Department is responsible for all packing for shipment functions for the company. The Warehouse Operative shall report directly to the Production Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Pack for shipment all goods as required.
  • Understand and maintain the FIFO system of stock.
  • Manual handling in compliance with company process.
  • Stock management with Bill of Materials.
  • Correspond and liaise with the Sales and Operations Planning team for priority of daily packaging.
  • Data entry to the company ERP and CRM for movement of product into stock.
  • Generate Packing Slips using company ERP.
  • Pack all goods, materials, and returns to minimize shipping cost and potential damage, referring to relevant specifications.
  • Pack goods in compliance with shipping regulations, carrier, and company requirements.
  • Final inspection of all goods, materials, and repairs prior to packing.
  • Monitor and reorder packaging material as and when required.
  • Ensure the shipment area is kept tidy and organized and be able to locate packages as required.
  • Adhere to the company’s health and safety policy.
  • Undergo regular training to maintain skills as required to remain compliant with company regulations.
  • Assist in other areas where necessary to meet business needs e.g. goods receiving, production kitting, and stock counts.

Required Skills, Knowledge and Expertise:

  • Experience in packing and dispatch is essential.
  • Meticulous with a good eye for detail.
  • Self-motivated and able to work with minimum supervision.
  • Enthusiastic and committed to the goals of the company.
  • Organized and tidy.
  • Exhibit good written and verbal communications skills.
  • Able to work in a team.
