Salary: £41,730 per annum
Schedule: Monday - Thursday, 7:30am - 4:30pm. Friday, 7:30am - 1:30pm
Our client offers a comprehensive range of refurbishment, maintenance, overhaul, engineering support, project management, and repair services to the UK rail and light rail sector. They offer a stable and rewarding working environment from their state of the art facilities in Kilmarnock, Ayrshire.
They're looking for talented and passionate people to join their team.
As a Coachbuilder, your responsibilities will include:
- Stripping out, refurbishing, and renovating trains and rolling stock
- Using various metalwork techniques to remove dents, repair rusted sections, and fix panels together
- Bodywork inspections and corrosion repairs - cutting out rusted floors and side panels
- Installing new floors, lino, ceilings, and partitions and seating Inspection; removal and repair of internal and external panelling; refurbishment of train components (brushing, cleaning, and painting)
- Using hand, power, and air tools
The ideal Coachbuilder will be:
- Time-served with relevant qualifications from accredited bodies
- Able to pay strong levels of attention to detail, and able to identify issues and find ways to rectify
