As a Coachbuilder, your responsibilities will include:

  • Stripping out, refurbishing, and renovating trains and rolling stock
  • Using various metalwork techniques to remove dents, repair rusted sections, and fix panels together
  • Bodywork inspections and corrosion repairs - cutting out rusted floors and side panels
  • Installing new floors, lino, ceilings, and partitions and seating Inspection; removal and repair of internal and external panelling; refurbishment of train components (brushing, cleaning, and painting)
  • Using hand, power, and air tools

The ideal Coachbuilder will be:

  • Time-served with relevant qualifications from accredited bodies
  • Able to pay strong levels of attention to detail, and able to identify issues and find ways to rectify
