JobSummary

WeareseekinganexperiencedElectricalSupervisortooverseecablejointingandlayingoperationswithintheTransmissionandDistribution(T&D)sector.Theidealcandidatewillhaveastrongtechnicalbackgroundinhigh-voltage(HV)andextra-high-voltage(EHV)systems,excellentleadershipskills,andaproventrackrecordofensuringprojectsaredeliveredontime,withinscope,andtothehighestsafetystandards.

KeyResponsibilities

  • ProjectSupervision:Overseetheinstallation,jointing,andlayingofHVandEHVcables,ensuringcompliancewithdesignspecificationsandindustrystandards.
  • TeamLeadership:Manageandcoordinateateamoftechnicians,cablejointers,andsubcontractors,promotingacultureofsafetyandcollaboration.
  • QualityAssurance:Conductsiteinspections,ensuringallworkmeetsregulatoryandcompanyqualitystandards.
  • Health&Safety:EnforceadherencetoHSEpoliciesandbestpractices,mitigatingrisksandensuringasafeworkingenvironment.
  • StakeholderCommunication:Liaisewithprojectmanagers,engineers,andclientstoprovideprogressupdatesandaddresspotentialchallenges.
  • Documentation:Maintaindetailedrecordsofsiteactivities,inspections,andcomplianceaudits.
  • Troubleshooting:Diagnoseandresolvetechnicalissuesrelatedtocableinstallationandjointingprocesses.

RequiredSkillsandQualifications

  • Experience:Minimumof5years'supervisoryexperienceintheT&Dsector,particularlyincablejointingandlaying.
  • Certifications:Recognisedqualificationsinelectricalengineeringorrelevantfield;certificationinHV/EHVcablejointingishighlydesirable.
