Teaching Assistant - PRU:

Location: Longsight

Pay: 95-105 per day, depending on experience

Are you a caring and Team Teach trained individual with experience supporting students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs. Prospero Teaching are currently working with a primary pupil referral unit, in the Lonsight area, to recruit experienced teaching assistants and learning mentors.

Role:

As a teaching assistant, your daily responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting pupils aged between 4-11 with SEMH needs, in small groups and on a 1:1 basis
  • Contributing towards an inclusive and engaging learning environment
  • Preparing adapted and engaging learning resources
  • Maintaining regular communication with parents and other staff to monitor progress

Experience, Training & Qualification:

The successful candidate for the PRU Teaching Assistant role will have:

  • Up to date safeguarding training within the last year (desired but training can be provided)
  • Team Teach training (highly desired but training can be provided)
  • Strong behaviour management skills
  • Resilience in high-pressure environments

To be eligible for this role through Prospero Teaching, you must:

  • Hold Right to Work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
  • Provide two professional references
