SEN / Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant
Location: Longsight, Manchester (M13)
Contract: Full Time, Monday-Friday
Start Date: ASAP

A Primary School in Longsight, Manchester (M13) is seeking a dedicated and resilient SEN / Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time basis. This role is based within a small on-site specialist provision, supporting children with complex needs who require tailored behavioural and emotional support to access learning.

This is a rewarding opportunity for someone passionate about supporting vulnerable children in a structured and nurturing environment.



The Role:

  • Supporting pupils with complex behavioural, emotional and learning needs

  • Working within a small specialist provision attached to the primary school

  • Providing 1:1 and small-group support

  • Implementing behaviour strategies and individual support plans

  • Helping pupils regulate emotions and engage positively with learning

  • Working closely with teachers, SENCO and external professionals

  • Promoting a safe, calm and consistent environment



The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Have experience supporting children with SEN and/or behavioural needs

  • Be calm, patient and confident managing challenging behaviour

  • Understand trauma-informed and positive behaviour approaches

  • Be a reliable and proactive team member

  • Have a genuine commitment to supporting children with additional needs
