SEN / Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant

Contract: Full Time, Monday-Friday

A Primary School in Longsight, Manchester (M13) is seeking a dedicated and resilient SEN / Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time basis. This role is based within a small on-site specialist provision, supporting children with complex needs who require tailored behavioural and emotional support to access learning.
This is a rewarding opportunity for someone passionate about supporting vulnerable children in a structured and nurturing environment.
The Role:
Supporting pupils with complex behavioural, emotional and learning needs
Working within a small specialist provision attached to the primary school
Providing 1:1 and small-group support
Implementing behaviour strategies and individual support plans
Helping pupils regulate emotions and engage positively with learning
Working closely with teachers, SENCO and external professionals
Promoting a safe, calm and consistent environment
The Ideal Candidate Will:
Have experience supporting children with SEN and/or behavioural needs
Be calm, patient and confident managing challenging behaviour
Understand trauma-informed and positive behaviour approaches
Be a reliable and proactive team member
Have a genuine commitment to supporting children with additional needs
