School Catering Assistant
Location: Longsight, Manchester (M13)
Hours: Monday-Friday, 10:00am-2:00pm
Contract: Term time only
Start Date: ASAP
We are currently recruiting for a School Catering Assistant to join a friendly and welcoming primary school in Longsight (M13). This is a term-time role, ideal for someone looking for consistent daytime hours within a school setting.
You will play an important part in supporting the smooth running of the school kitchen and lunchtime service, ensuring pupils receive meals in a safe, clean, and positive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Assisting with the preparation and serving of school meals
Supporting pupils during lunchtime service
Maintaining high standards of hygiene and cleanliness in the kitchen and dining areas
Washing up and clearing tables after service
Following food safety and health & safety procedures at all times
Working as part of a team to ensure an efficient and friendly lunchtime experience
About You:
Previous experience in a catering or kitchen environment is desirable
A positive, reliable and hardworking attitude
Ability to work well as part of a team
Understanding of food hygiene and safety procedures (training can be provided)
Enjoys working in a school environment
