Part-Time SEN Tutor (Macclesfield)
Prospero Teaching is looking for experienced SEN Tutors in and around Macclesfield to deliver high-quality 1:1 tuition in both Maths and English across KS1 - KS4.
This is a flexible, part-time role supporting vulnerable pupils who are not currently in mainstream education. Many of the learners have Special Educational Needs (SEN) or Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges, so a patient and adaptable approach is essential.
Role Details:
Location: Macclesfield and surrounding areas
Hours: Approx. 10 - 20 per week (flexible within school hours, 9am - 3pm, term-time)
Pay: GBP27GBP30 per hour (depending on experience)
Contract: Ongoing, part-time, flexible
Subjects: Both Maths and English (KS1 - KS4)
Start date: ASAP
Requirements:
Strong SEN/SEMH experience (minimum 2 years preferred)
Confident delivering both Maths and English in line with the UK curriculum
QTS desirable (not essential if strong SEN background)
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
Ability to travel locally in and around Macclesfield
Patient, empathetic, and creative approach to engaging learners
Further Information:
You will be delivering tailored 1:1 sessions in community settings or in pupils homes (with safeguarding in place), helping children rebuild confidence, close learning gaps, and re-engage with education.
