Fixed term contract Vacancy - Finance Business Partner - Capital

Location: King's Lynn, PE30 (Hybrid)Salary: £50,000 to £60,000 per annum (DOE)Contract length: 6 months Hours: Full time

As a Capital Accountant, you will play a key role in managing and reporting on capital expenditure. You’ll ensure compliance with financial guidance, maintain accurate records of capital assets, and support strategic investment decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the capital programme, including monitoring capital budgets and expenditure.
  • Maintain the fixed asset register and ensure accurate accounting for asset additions, disposals, and depreciation.
  • Prepare capital forecasts, monthly reports, and year-end capital accounting schedules.
  • Liaise with project managers, estates teams, and external auditors to ensure robust financial governance.
  • Ensure compliance with capital accounting policies and statutory requirements.
  • Support business cases for capital investment and provide financial insight for decision-making.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Fully qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, CIPFA, or equivalent).
  • Experience in capital accounting, ideally within the public sector.
