Salary: £47,972 per annum

Location: Bircham Newton

Hours: Full Time

Job Purpose

Reporting to the Senior Instructor the Instructor will have the responsibility for the presentation, updating and development of courses at the College, suitable for meeting the training needs of the industry.

Responsibilities:

  • Training to achieve course objectives, both practical and theory
  • Ensuring that course material, equipment, training aids and documentation is available to meet the objectives of the courses.
  • Updating and developing of course material, including training aids, lesson plans and timetables.
  • Assessment of Trainees
  • Safety and welfare of trainees at all times
  • Working at all times to the course syllabus and programme to deliver the course objectives
  • Complete and maintain all trainees' course reports, assessment forms, and other relevant documentation, as required by awarding bodies and NCC quality procedures
  • Environmental responsibilities

Knowledge & Experience:

  • Relevant experience in related industry
  • Recognised apprenticeship and qualifications
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Sound knowledge of current industry practices.
  • Possession of Assessment units would be advantageous, but training will be provided if necessary
  • Will be expected to achieve CTLLS Level 3 – Certificate in Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector, or equivalent qualification
