In-House Paralegal | c.£40,000 + Bonus + Excellent Benefits | Hybrid (3 Days office based) | South Hertfordshire

We're working exclusively with a dynamic and fast-growing company in the consumer services sector to recruit an In-House Paralegal for a newly created role, supporting the expansion of their In-House legal function.

Location: South Hertfordshire, Hybrid Working (3 days a week office based and 2 days remote)Salary: c.£40,000 per annum + bonus + excellent benefits package

The Role:

This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially minded paralegal to handle varied legal work within a collaborative and fast-paced environment. Reporting into the Head of Legal, you'll be handling a broad range of responsibilities, including:

  • Reviewing, drafting, and negotiating a variety of commercial agreements (e.g. terms of business, supplier agreements, marketing and advertising contracts, NDAs)
  • Advising on data protection matters including GDPR compliance and responding to subject access requests
  • Supporting the business on small claims litigation matters
  • Working closely with stakeholders across the business, particularly in procurement, marketing, and operations

About You:

We're looking for a driven and detail-oriented individual who enjoys working in a fast-moving commercial setting.

You will need:

  • A Law degree (minimum 2:1 preferred) and strong academic record
  • Previous in-house experience with commercial contracts and data protection experience
  • Have handled a broad range of commercial agreements with good drafting, reviewing and negotiation skills.
  • Exposure within data protection and GDPR, ideally including subject access requests
  • A self-sufficient, proactive attitude with excellent attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across teams
