Mechanical Inspector- New opportunity for a mechanical inspector in this impressive and growing sub contract precision engineering company. The role involves CMM and manual inspection of high precision complex parts and offers an excellent working environment, training and premium rate overtime.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough inspections on mechanical components and assemblies to ensure they meet quality standards.
  • Utilise manual inspection equipment and perform detailed inspections.
  • Review and complete First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs) for compliance with industry standards.
  • Operate and programme Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) to verify product conformity.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to address inspection findings.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years experience in an inspection role.
  • Strong understanding and hands-on experience with manual inspection equipment (gauges, micrometres) and basic trigonometry. (GD&T)
  • Experience with FAIRs
  • CMM operating experience ( PC-DMIS programming experience preferred but can be trained).
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team.
