Primary Teacher

Location: Abbots Langley, Hertfordshire
Salary: £33,000 – £45,000 (dependent on experience)
Contract: Full-Time, Permanent
Start Date: September 2025

We are working with a vibrant and welcoming primary school in Abbots Langley that is committed to providing a high-quality education within a caring and inclusive environment. With a strong focus on academic excellence, personal development, and staff support, the school offers a fantastic opportunity for a teacher ready to lead and inspire a Year 6 class.

This is a key role in the school's Upper Key Stage 2 team and would suit a confident teacher who is passionate about preparing pupils for a successful transition to secondary school.

As the Year 6 Teacher, you will:

• Deliver an engaging and challenging curriculum, with a strong focus on SATs preparation and independent learning

• Support pupils' academic progress and personal development through effective planning, teaching, and assessment

• Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment that fosters high expectations and motivation

• Provide targeted support to close learning gaps and build confidence

• Communicate regularly with parents, carers, and the wider school team

• Contribute to the life of the school through clubs, trips, and enrichment activities

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

• Experience teaching in Key Stage 2, ideally with Year 6 or Upper KS2 pupils

• Strong knowledge of the national curriculum and Year 6 assessment frameworks (including SATs)

• A proactive, resilient, and reflective approach to teaching

• Excellent classroom management and communication skills

• A genuine passion for supporting children to achieve their best

• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
