The Role

As the Year 6 Teacher, you will:

  • Deliver an engaging and challenging curriculum, with a strong focus on SATs preparation and independent learning

  • Support pupils' academic progress and personal development through effective planning, teaching, and assessment

  • Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment that fosters high expectations and motivation

  • Provide targeted support to close learning gaps and build confidence

  • Communicate regularly with parents, carers, and the wider school team

  • Contribute to the life of the school through clubs, trips, and enrichment activities

What We’re Looking For
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

  • Experience teaching in Key Stage 2, ideally with Year 6 or Upper KS2 pupils

  • Strong knowledge of the national curriculum and Year 6 assessment frameworks (including SATs)

  • A proactive, resilient, and reflective approach to teaching

  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills

  • A genuine passion for supporting children to achieve their best

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
