The Opportunity:

Support students with autism and behavioural challenges across a range of subjects
Inclusive and well-resourced mainstream secondary school with a strong SEN support team
Work closely with the SENCo and class teachers to deliver targeted support
Excellent long-term career development opportunities
Full-time, Monday to Friday
Term-time only role, paid up to 115 per day
Based in Kingston (KT3) with good transport links
Immediate start, with potential for long-term placement

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver tailored support under the direction of the SENCo to meet the needs of pupils with autism and behavioural issues
Maintain a calm and structured learning environment using effective behaviour management strategies
Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with additional needs
Help pupils stay engaged in class by adapting resources and tasks as needed
Promote inclusion and support students' emotional and academic development
Assist students in developing independence, organisation, and confidence
Collaborate with teachers and pastoral teams to monitor and adjust interventions

Who We're Looking For:

A minimum Level 3 qualification (essential)
Experience supporting children with autism, behavioural difficulties, or complex needs in a school setting
Calm, empathetic, and resilient approach to working with challenging behaviour
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Committed to safeguarding and student welfare
A genuine passion for supporting young people to thrive in education
