- Lead and manage the Commercial Property department, including supervision and mentoring of junior lawyers and support staff.
- Oversee a varied caseload including acquisitions and disposals, landlord and tenant matters, commercial leases, developments, and investment transactions.
- Deliver expert, commercially focused legal advice to clients across sectors.
- Maintain and grow strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor.
- Play an active role in business development, networking, and identifying opportunities for growth.
- Work with the senior management team to develop and implement departmental strategy.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and risk management requirements.
- Monitor team performance, targets, and financial KPIs, including billing and profitability.
- Qualified Solicitor (8+ years PQE) with extensive experience in commercial property law.
- Proven leadership experience within a legal team or department.
- Strong commercial acumen and a proactive approach to business development.
- Exceptional client care and communication skills.
- Ability to manage a busy caseload while providing guidance and oversight to the team.
