About the Role:
Long Term Futures are working alongside a welcoming primary school in Kingston upon Thames to appoint a Behaviour Mentor to support two pupils in Key Stage 2 who require additional help with emotional regulation and behaviour in the classroom. This is a full-time, long-term position with the opportunity to become permanent for the right candidate.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing consistent 1:1 and paired mentoring support for two KS2 pupils in a classroom setting and tailored interventions outside of classroom.
  • Implementing tailored behaviour strategies in collaboration with the school's SENCo and work as a part of the pastoral team
  • Supporting pupils with self-regulation, confidence, and learning engagement
  • Working closely with class teachers and pastoral teams to ensure positive outcomes
  • Modelling positive behaviour and building strong, trusting relationships

Ideal Candidate:

  • Previous experience supporting children with SEMH or behavioural needs (school or youth-based settings)
  • Degree in psychology or a related field is desirable but not essential.
  • Experience supporting children in a primary school setting is essential
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Team player, committed to making a long-term difference
