We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Social Worker to join a dynamic Learning Disabilities Team in Lewisham. This is an excellent opportunity to make a real impact by supporting adults with learning disabilities, empowering them to live independently and access the care they need.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carrying out Care Act assessments, support planning, and reviews

  • Undertaking Mental Capacity Assessments and Best Interest decisions

  • Working closely with health professionals and other agencies in a multi-disciplinary setting

  • Managing a diverse caseload, with a focus on person-centred and strength-based approaches

  • Safeguarding vulnerable adults in line with Section 42 of the Care Act

Requirements:

  • SWE registration

  • Previous experience working with adults with learning disabilities

  • Solid knowledge of the Care Act, Mental Capacity Act, and relevant legislation

  • Ability to work autonomously and manage competing priorities
