Our work includes supporting adults with primary mental health needs, autism, substance misuse issues, and young people transitioning to adult services.

We work in partnership with NHS mental health teams, wards, primary care, and a wide network of community organisations. The team also delivers the council's AMHP service.

About the Role
As a Mental Health Social Worker, you will:

  • Complete assessments, reviews, and safeguarding enquiries

  • Work closely with health partners and contribute to multi-disciplinary work

  • Manage cases involving the Court of Protection as needed

  • Supervise students and newly qualified staff

  • Receive regular supervision and development support

You'll be supported to apply for AMHP training, with dedicated time and guidance to qualify. AMHPs receive two additional pay increments once qualified.
