About the Role:We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SENTeaching Assistant to join our team at a dynamic school in Kingston. The ideal candidate will be passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and making a positive difference in their learning experiences. As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with students, teachers, and other staff to provide tailored support and ensure every child reaches their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one and small group support for children with SEN, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), dyslexia, and other learning needs.
  • Assist in delivering differentiated lessons, adapting teaching methods to suit individual needs.
  • Support students with personal care, social skills, and emotional development.
  • Help students with communication, literacy, numeracy, and classroom activities.
  • Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers and parents.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children with SEN is highly desirable.
  • A passion for supporting children in their learning journey.
  • Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) is preferred but not essential.
  • An understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
