Are you a dedicated and experienced tutor with a passion for helping students with SEN and SEMH needs? Do you thrive in one-to-one settings, providing personalised support in Maths and English up to GCSE level? If so, this rewarding role is for you!

GSL Education are looking for a caring Outreach Tutor for Barking & Dagenham.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver tailored one-to-one tuition in Maths and English (GCSE level) to students in their homes.
  • Adapt teaching strategies to suit the needs of students with SEN and SEMH challenges.
  • Build strong, trusting relationships to engage and motivate learners.
  • Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to support their development.
  • Work closely with parents, carers, and educational professionals to ensure a holistic approach to learning.
  • Create a calm and structured learning environment that promotes confidence and success.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Teaching/tutoring experience with SEN and SEMH students.
  • Strong knowledge of the Maths and English GCSE curriculum.
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet diverse learning needs.
  • A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach to working with students.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Driving licence and access to a vehicle (preferred but not essential).
