Principal Geotechnical Engineer

With a strong pipeline of repeat clients and continued investment in people, technology and specialist services, they are now seeking a Principal Geotechnical Engineer. This opportunity suits someone with 10+ years' experience who wants to lead complex projects, guide technical standards and play a key role in team development and client relationships.

• Lead geotechnical design, investigation strategies and technically complex projects
• Provide senior technical oversight for reporting, modelling and risk assessments
• Mentor, review and develop junior and senior engineers across the team
• Act as a key technical advisor to clients and support strategic project planning
• Drive quality, compliance and safety standards across all project stages
• Support business growth through client management and proposal input

• 10+ years' geotechnical engineering experience within consultancy
• Strong background in complex ground investigation, advanced logging and design
• Proven ability to produce and review high-level interpretive geotechnical reports
• Experience leading projects and managing multidisciplinary team inputs
• Strong understanding of regulations, safety, CDM and geotechnical standards
• Confident communicator able to manage clients and influence project direction
• Full UK driving licence

• 50,000 - 60,000 salary
• 31 days holiday including bank holidays and Christmas shutdown
