A Steel Operative / Overhead Crane Operator is required for a large steel processing company based in the Dudley area.
You will be responsible for a variety of duties, operating overhead cranes, driving counterbalance FLTs, loading / unloading vehicles, picking / packing steel in the warehouse, and more. You will also be training up to do the shunting in the yard, so any previous shunter experience will be beneficial.
You will be responsible for;
- Operating overhead cranes
- Driving counterbalance FLTs
- Loading and unloading delivery vehicles
- Picking and packing in the warehouse
- Training up on the shunter
To be considered you need to have similar steel experience operating overhead cranes and counterbalance FLTs.
The role is working the following mornings / afternoons rotating shift pattern -
- 6am - 2pm / 2pm - 10pm Monday to Friday
- Paying £13.77 per hour
- Rising to £14.84 per hour once trained on the shunting
This Steel Operative / Overhead Crane Operator role is a temp-to-perm position with a probationary period through the agency.
