We are currently recruiting for a Quality Inspector based at our site in Dudley. Hours of work are 8am to 4pm Monday to Friday.

Role Overview

  • To fully support the SHEQ Manager and Quality Engineer in the control of specific customer supplied product.
  • Inspection, preparation of parts and documentation prior to despatch

Key responsibilities will be to:

  • Manage key accounts, ensuring supply requirements are confirmed during production and via pre-dispatch audits.
  • Carry out inspection of parts, prior to despatch and at various stages of production ensuring they meet the requirements of the Quality Plan and customer requirements
  • Use of measuring equipment such as micrometers, verniers, depth gauges etc
  • Record inspection results.
  • Preparation and packaging of parts to meet key account requirements.
  • Conduct tests required to maintain Customer Control Plan
  • Use of fork lift truck and overhead crane.
  • Use of other mechanical handling equipment.

Relevant experience required:

  • Experience in a previous Quality Inspection role and use in following 9001 Quality Management Systems.
  • Experience of inspection and pre-despatch audits
  • Attention to detail to identify defects and ensure a quality product
  • Experienced in the use of general measuring equipment
  • Experienced in the use of FLT’s and over head cranes.
  • Strong computer skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
