Your new company
You will be joining a national roads contractor who provide a winter service fleet who are on standby 24-hours-a-day, seven days a week to respond and cover 593km of trunk roads and 151km of footpaths in NE Scotland. Due to an increase in coverage, they are looking for a night shift Class 2 HGV Driver.
Your new role
Your role will involve the below:
- 4 DAYS ON/4 DAYS OFF rolling rota throughout the winter months.
- Duration: Starting ASAP until May 2026
- Duties: Patrolling the roads network during the night and being first to respond to any incidents
- 10-hour shifts, which may increase to 12 hours depending on conditions
- Reporting to a depot in Kinross
- Night shift working rota
What you'll need to succeed
You will need to be a qualified class 2 HGV Driver, ideally with experience driving in Scotland as well as at night. We will run a full DVLA check as well as a criminal records check and 2 working references. You will be based within as short a commute as possible to the depot, where there are on-site facilities and free parking.

You will be offered an immediate start with a nationally recognised roads contractor, with the potential for a full-time job to be offered. Hays will pay you weekly with no payroll charges, and you will receive the option for paid annual leave.
