We are recruiting for a Support Worker to join our lovely team on a part-time, permanent basis up to 25 hours per week (flexible to the needs of the applicant) based in the Penrith area. In return, you will receive a competitive salary of £14.65 per hour weekdays, £15.66 per hour weekends.

We are extremely proud to offer very distinct and specialised case management services for adults and children recovering from an acquired / traumatic brain injury, spinal or catastrophic injuries and associated disabilities or conditions.

The Support Worker Role:

Additional support workers are required for a gentleman in his early 70’s living independently in the Penrith area. The gentleman has an acquired brain injury, is mobile with a walking stick and has mild to moderate cognitive impairment. The successful applicants will be responsible for supporting the client and promoting independence.

Tasks will include helping with household chores, personal care, shopping, giving medication and going out in the local community for short walks and taking the client out in his car to local cafés and places of interest.

What we are looking for in our Support Worker:

Applicants are sought with the following qualities: good communication skills, patience, problem solving ability and a sense of humour.

The successful applicants will be joining an experienced, established team. The role is for daytime hours only, working around 5 hours per day.  The applicant will receive full training for this role and regular supervision from the Senior Support Worker.

Driver with full UK License essential.
