PMLD Teaching Assistant - North Liverpool

We're seeking compassionate individuals to join our team at a specialist SEND school in North Liverpool. If you're passionate about supporting children with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), we want you to be part of our close-knit team. Our mission is to empower pupils with complex needs, including sensory, physical, medical, and communication challenges.

Role Overview:

-One-to-one and small-group support to help pupils engage in learning.
-Assisting with personal care, including toileting and changing.
-Supporting mobility and physical needs, including wheelchair transfers and hoist use
-Delivering sensory-based learning activities tailored to each child's needs.
-Collaborating with teachers, therapists, and medical staff to ensure children are safe, comfortable, and included in their learning.

What We're Looking For:

-Experience working with children or adults with complex physical and learning needs.
-Understanding of conditions such as PICA, PEG feeding, epilepsy, and medical protocols.
-Confidence working with wheelchair users and hoisting equipment.
-A calm, patient, and compassionate approach to personal care.
-A team player who can adapt, follow care plans, and celebrate student progress.
-Two years of employment references required.
