SEND Teaching Assistant

Prospero Teaching are currently recruiting for a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to work in a supportive school setting in Kirkby. This role is ideal for someone passionate about supporting children with additional needs and making a real difference in the classroom.

The role:

• Supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) on a 1:1 basis or in small groups

• Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement tailored support strategies

• Assisting with academic, social and emotional development

• Creating a safe, nurturing and inclusive learning environment

The school is looking for someone who:

• Has experience working with children with SEND (ASD, ADHD, SEMH or similar needs)

• Is patient, caring and resilient

• Can build positive relationships with pupils and staff

• Has a proactive and flexible approach to learning support

• Previous experience working with children or young people with SEND
