I'm working exclusively with a an industry leading manufacturing company that is looking for a multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their Engineering team due to a retirement coming up.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced engineer to potentially progress their career in the near future while working in a 24-hour, production-focused environment but on a days based role.

Role Overview:

The successful candidate will provide engineering support across production, working closely with a small team of maintenance engineers, production team leaders, and the quality assurance department. The role combines reactive maintenance, fault finding, and continuous improvement, with the chance to contribute to enhancing production efficiency and maintaining high standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) activities both electrically and mechanically
  • Deliver reactive maintenance swiftly and effectively to minimise downtime
  • Carry out visual inspections across production facilities
  • Collaborate with production and quality teams toidentify and implement process improvements
  • Support projects, including installation and commissioning of new equipment

Candidate Profile / Skills Required:

  • Electrical bias with sound mechanical knowledge (mechanical disassembly, pneumatic and hydraulic systems)
  • City & Guilds, NVQ, or equivalent qualification
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and PLC-controlled systems
  • HSE awareness and commitment to safety
  • Proactive, capable of working independently and as part of a team
  • Computer literate with good verbal and written communication skills
