Senior Electrical Technician

We are looking for an experienced Senior Electrical Technician to be responsible for assembling, wiring, and testing electrical and electronic components and systems to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble electrical and electronic subassemblies from diagrams, drawings, or work instructions.
  • Wire and solder harnesses, cables, control panels, PCBs, connectors, and related assemblies.
  • Carry out heavy-duty cable wiring, control system outfitting, and deck cable assembly.
  • Perform fault finding and repairs down to PCB component level.
  • Test and troubleshoot assemblies to ensure functionality and quality.
  • Complete required documentation (timesheets, engineering change notes, etc.).
  • Work safely and maintain high standards of quality and housekeeping.
  • Meet project deadlines and production efficiency targets.
  • Undertake other duties as required by your manager.

Skills and Experience

Essential:

  • Experience in low voltage AC/DC wiring and looming.
  • Understanding of control and data systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety.
  • Good communication, organisation, and teamwork skills.

Desirable:

  • ONC or equivalent qualification in Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
  • IEEE 18th Edition accreditation.
  • Experience with high voltage installations or fibre optic handling.
  • Previous experience in manufacturing or production environments.

Additional Information

  • Some travel may be required on an ad-hoc basis.
  • All work must comply with company quality, health, safety, and environmental standards.
