Production Engineer

Location Kirkbymoorside

Hours: 37 per week (Mon–Thurs 8:30–4:30, Fri 8:30–4:00, flexi-time available)

  • Overtime: Paid at time and a half (Mon–Sat) and double time (Sun)
  • Holidays: 25 days + 8 bank holidays
  • Benefits: 5% pension, private healthcare, life insurance (2x salary)

An experienced Production Engineer is required to join a leading manufacturing business. You’ll play a key role in bridging design and production, ensuring smooth introduction of new products while driving improvements across existing processes.

What you’ll do:

  • Support production with technical expertise.
  • Design fixtures, tooling, and create CAD drawings.
  • Lead pre-production activities and feasibility reviews.
  • Drive process improvements and efficiency gains.
  • Provide training and technical guidance to operators.

What we’re looking for:

  • HND/Degree in Engineering or Manufacturing.
  • 5+ years’ experience in an engineering/manufacturing role.
  • Strong CAD skills (SolidWorks/AutoCAD).
  • Knowledge of machining, welding, heat treatment, NDT etc.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
