Pipe Welder Fabricator

Job Purpose

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Coded Pipe Welder Fabricator for welding and fabrication on a variety of metals including steel, stainless steel, duplex/super duplex, Inconel, and aluminium, in line with approved welding procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform welding to ISO BSEN 278 and ASME IX standards.
  • Read and interpret fabrication and welding prints accurately.
  • Work to BS EN ISO 3834-2 welding quality system.
  • Carry out tasks safely, ensuring good working practices and housekeeping.
  • Work independently or as part of a team to deliver high-quality results.
  • Complete other duties as required.

Accountabilities

  • Undertake welding using SMAW, GTAW, GMAW, and other processes in accordance with BSEN ISO 15614 and ASME IX.
  • Maintain accuracy in dimensions, layouts, cutting, and fit-ups.
  • Ensure quality standards and inspection criteria are consistently achieved.

Skills & Qualifications

Essential:

  • Evidence of previous welding codes and demonstrable welding knowledge.
  • Proficiency in set-up and welding processes.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.

Desirable:

  • Secondary education or equivalent.
  • Apprenticeship background in a shop floor environment.
  • Additional training certification (e.g. abrasive wheels, gantry crane, CSWIP, PCN).

Additional Information

  • Some travel may be required.
  • A welding test will be part of the interview process.
