Care Assistant

Gowrie House is a warm and welcoming 60-bed care home in the heart of Kirkcaldy, offering Residential, Nursing, Dementia and Respite care. Our dedicated day team plays a vital role in ensuring residents feel supported, engaged, and cared for throughout the day.

As a Day Care Assistant, you will support residents with their morning and daily routines, provide personal care with dignity and respect, encourage independence, and help them take part in meaningful activities that brighten their day. You will be someone our residents can count on for support, companionship, and encouragement.

What We Offer:

• £12.70 per hour
• Full-time or part-time contracts (minimum 22 hours per week)
• Paid PVG, pension scheme, uniform and onsite parking
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full-time contract)
• Ongoing training and the opportunity to work towards SVQ Level 2 or above

What We’re Looking For:You may already hold an SVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care or be working towards it, or you might simply have a natural caring nature and want to learn. What matters most is your reliability, empathy, and desire to support others.
